The wildlife sanctuaries of Jharkhand forms one of the significant tourist attractions. There are 3 main wildlife sanctuaries in this state: Hazaribagh National Park, Palamau Tiger Reserve and Betla National Park.
Hazaribagh National Park, situated in Hazaribagh Town. Betla National Park, located in Daltonganj District the Palamau tiger Reserve is situated next to Betla National Park.
Hazaribagh National Park, one of the significant wildlife sanctuaries, sways over an area of (184 square kms). This national park adores an array of flora comprising tropical and grasslands vegetations. Hazaribagh National Park possesses a broad range of set of animals. Namely Panther, Tiger, Nilgai, Sambar, Sloth Bear, Chital, Wild Boar etc.
Betla National Park, one of the important wildlife sanctuaries, is a vital component of the (Palamu Sanctuary). This sanctuary covers an area of (232 sq km).Betla National Park provides the visitors different types of flora and fauna. Some of the chief animals includes: Wild Boars, Sloth Bear, Jackals, Small Indian Civets, Tigers, Langurs, Nilgais, Chitals, Elephants, Gaurs, Monkeys, Leopards, Dambars and Panthers.
