Itinerary

Day 01 – Arrive at Guwahati

Tourists arrive at Guwahati airport or railway station as per their convenience. Upon arrival, our representatives will meet and assist you to move to the hotel. During the tour on the 1st day, visit the famous Kamakhya Temple. This temple is located on the hill known as Kamagiri or Neelachal Parbat in Guwahati city. It has got several historical importance and is dedicated in the name of Sati or Kamakhya deity, who is known as one of copious incarnations of Shakti and Durga Goddess. Later visit Basistha Ashram, where tourists find tranquil atmosphere under the shades of the place. Continue your tour by visiting the prominent Sankardev Kalakshetra. Return back to the hotel and enjoy your delicious dinner served in authentic Indian style. Overnight staying facilities are arranged at the hotel.

Day 02 – Guwahati – Nameri National Park

Have a hearty breakfast at the Guwahati hotel and later drive to the wildlife tour at Nameri National Park. The park is authorized under the “Tiger Reserve” by the Government of India. Explore the park by watching animals and birds. There are more than 350 species of birds such as Sultan Tit, Wreathed Hornbill, Ruddy Kingfisher, Ibisbill, Yellow Bellied, White Throated Fantails and many more. Though it is not possible to view all bird species but if you are lucky enough you will observe most of the different species at the park. Check into the camp at the park and later enjoy dinner and overnight staying facilities.

Day 03 – Nameri National Park – Bomdila

Have a hearty breakfast at Nameri camp and later get ready for bird watching activity at the Nameri National Park. Continue your journey towards Bomdila. On the way visit Tipi, which is Orchidarium located at a distance of about 5 km from Bhalukpong, famous as the Botanical Paradise in the state of Assam. You will find more than 300 species of flora stored in glass house. Few of them are endangered and rare species. The land has got some of the famous attractions such as excellent wooden carpets made up of colorful designs. Explore shopping centre, Ethnographic Museum and Buddhist monasteries. Enjoy the tranquil beauty amidst the snow-clad regions on the foothills of the Himalayan region. Return back to the hotel and enjoy delicious dinner along with overnight staying facilities.

Day 04 – Bomdila – Tawang

After breakfast get ready to check out from the hotel towards Tawang which is located at a distance of about 180 kms and takes approximately 5 hrs. On the way to Tawang visit Jaswant Garh, Sela Pass and Dirang. Rest of the day is at leisure. Return back to the hotel and enjoy a delicious dinner served in authentic Indian style. Overnight staying facilities are arranged at the Tawang hotel.

Day 05 – Tawang

After a hearty breakfast at Tawang later visit the Tawang Gaden Namgyal Lhatse. It is an ancient monastery built during the reign of Mera Lama (5th Lama) in the 17th century. The monastery is worth to visit the ancient collections of gold lettered scriptures, books, huge scriptures, manuscripts, Buddhist tapestries, images and scriptures. There are 108 gold embossed manuscripts, 225 volumes of Buddha’s teaching scripts and various mural paintings of Buddha. Visit every corner of the monastery with proper observation so that you get to know more about the Buddhist culture. Rest of the time is free to explore the local markets of Tawang where one can get beautiful handmade carpets, masks, chubas and delightful local dresses. Return back to the hotel and enjoy delicious dinner. Overnight staying facilities are arranged at the hotel.

Day 06 – Tawang – Dirang

Have a hearty breakfast and later depart for Dirang. On the arrival at Dirang, our representative will guide you to transfer to the hotel. It is an ideal place located in the western region of Kameng district that offers beautiful sheep farms and apple orchards. Afternoon meals visit to Local Monpa village in order to witness the tradition and culture. Stroll down to natural hot springs, Apple Gardens, Yak Farms and Buddha Monastery. Return back to the hotel and enjoy local cuisine items in your dinner. Overnight staying facilities arranged at the hotel.

Day 07 – Dirang – Bhalukpong

After having breakfast get ready to drive to Bhalukpong located at the distance of about 140 kms near the Arunachal – Assam border. It is located 250 kms away from Guwahati. The place offers outstanding picturesque and is an ideal location for leisurely picnics and angling activities. Upon arrival at Bhalukpong, check in formalities is undertaken by the tour. Relax and enjoy all comfort facilities offered at the lodge. Dinner and overnight staying facilities are arranged.

Day 08 – Bhalukpong – Shillong

Have a hearty breakfast at Bhalukpong and later drive to Shillong, which is popular as the Scotland of India. On the way to Shillong visit Lake Umiam Lake located at a distance of about 17 kms away from Shillong. The lake has various water sports facilities. Upon arrival at Shillong, you are moved to the hotel and rest of the day is at leisure. Roam independently at the local markets of Shillong and later return back to the hotel. Enjoy the delicious dinner served in authentic local style by the Assamese people. Overnight staying facilities are arranged.

Day 09 – Shillong

On the 9th day at Shillong, visit the famous Lake Ward’s, Lewduh Market and Lady Hydari Park, Shillong Golf Course, Elephant falls, old churches and Police Bazzar, Return back to the hotel and enjoy a delicious dinner at the Shillong hotel. Sleep well on your cozy bed offered by the tour management.

Day 10 – Shillong – Cherapunjee

Have a hearty breakfast at Shillong and later continue your journey to Cherrapunji. Upon arrival at Cherapunjee, you are moved to the hotel. The place is famous for its impressive deep gorges and gushing waterfalls. From here one can also view quick glimpse of Bangladesh. Later visit Krem Mawmluh cave located half km from Cherrapunji. Also visit the Nohsngithiang waterfalls, Nohkalikai Falls, Dainthlen Falls and few other wells. Return back to the hotel and later munch on your relishing dinner arranged by the tour representatives. Overnight stay is at the hotel.

Day 11 – Cherrapunji – Guwahati

Have a hearty breakfast at Cherrapunji and later depart for Guwahati via private bus facilities arranged by the tour. Upon arrival, check in to the Guwahati hotel and later enjoy river cruising on the Brahmaputra River in order to relax and get your stress away with the Guwahati tour.
