Tour Itinerary 

Day 01: Guindy National Park

You will be welcomed by our representatives on arrival in Chennai. After breakfast, you will be driven to Guindy national park in our AC bus or car. The park is just 16 km from Meenambakkam airport and 16 km from Chennai railway station. It is spread in 270 sq km. The national park is home to 2000 spotted deer, 24 jackals, 400 black bucks, 60 species of butterflies, 100 species of birds and a variety of langurs, snakes, tortoises, slugs, sambar and porcupines. Guindy National Park is visited by over 7 lakh people every year. Lunch will be held within the park premises. Return back to your hotel in late evening for dinner. This park is known as one of the best Tamil Nādu National Park.

Day 02: Gulf of Mannar Marine National Park

The Gulf of Mannar Marine National Park is a group of 21 small islands which are distanced about 1 to 10 km away from the mainland and vary in size from 0.25 ha to 130 ha. The marine national park is spread over an area of 560 sq km between Rameshwaram and Tuticorin. It is habitat to rich varieties of flora, fauna, coral reefs, sea-grass ecosystem and mangrove vegetation. The park is home to the endangered Sea Crow and boasts of 3600 plants and animal species. It is part of a larger biosphere reserve comprising of estuaries, mudflats and beaches. Your day long cruise to Gulf of Mannar Marine National Park would be able to acquaint you with the rich marine life of Tamil Nadu.

Day 03: Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park

Indira Gandhi Wildlife Sanctuary and National Park is situated in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu. The 958 sq km park is home to a large number of rare and exotic species like Lion Tailed Macaque, Musa, Elephants, Nilgiri Tahr, Clawed Shrew, Painted Bush Quail, Snakes, Crested Goshawk, Malabar Grey Hornbill, Alpine Swift etc. Major reservoirs of the park are Parambikulam, Aliyar, Kadambari and Amaravathi. Tribal communities like Kadar, Malasar and Pulayar live within the Indira Gandhi wildlife sanctuary. Over 300 species of the birds have been spotted in the park so far. Return back to your forest lodge in the evening and enjoy sumptuous dinner during of National parks in Tamil Nādu.

Day 04: Mudumalai National Park

Mudumalai National Park was established in 1940. It is spread over an area of 321 sq km which is rich in pristine tropical wilderness. The park has over 200 species of birds. Major mammalian attractions of the national park are Asian Elephant, Gaur, Hyena, Chital, Muntjac, Stripe-necked Mongoose, Mouse Deer, Giant Flying Squirrel, Four-Horned Antelope etc. Reptiles like pythons, krait, Bamboo Pit Snake, crocodiles, turtles and frogs, that could be seen everywhere in the sanctuary. Mudumalai National Park is frequented by rare bird species like crested hawk, Malabar Whistling Thrush, spotted babbler, parakeets, Scops owl, buzzards, black woodpecker etc.

Day 05: Mukurthi National Park

Mukurthi National Park is located in the Nilgiris district of Tamil Nadu. Coimbatore is the nearest airport to the park, which is at a distance of 140 km. The park is spread over 78 sq km and boasts of a viable population of Nilgiri Tahr. It is also popular for 06 trekking routes that run through it. Besides Nilgiris Tahr, Mukurthi National Park is also home to exotic mammalian species like Rhododendrons, Raspberries, Blacknaped Hare, Giant Squirrels, wild dogs etc.

Day 06: Pampadum Shola National Park

You will be driven to Pampadum Shola National Park. Nearest airport to the park is Cochin, which is 170 km away. The park boasts of 22 species of trees, 74 species of herbs, 16 species of climbers, 100 species of butterflies, 14 species of birds and 09 species of mammals. Parantica Nilgiriensis, which has been declared an endangered species by IUCN is found here. National parks in Tamilnadu also has ecotourism and night camping facilities.
